Foi um começo muito familiar, até demais. Eu não gosto muito desse conceito dos X-Men simplesmente virarem heróis. Eles tem que se diferenciar dos Vingadores e outros.

Ali na nova Irmandade, era o Rusty Collins como novo Pyro? Eu só lembro que o último tinha morrido há muito tempo atrás por causa do vírus legado.

Parece ele. O Pyro teria os lança-chamas.

MARVEL RESPONDS TO X-MEN GOLD ARTIST CONTROVERSY

Following the discovery of controversial and highly charged religious and political messaging placed in the newly released “X-Men Gold” #1 by series artist Ardian Syaf, Marvel has issued a statement on the situation to ComicBook.com.

Um indonésio, que deveria ser parte da onda de diversidade dentro da própria editora, usando os X-Men para pregar intolerância? É isso mesmo?

Esse cara tá lascado pra conseguir novos trabalhos...

mas também, que merda que ele fez...

Pelo que eu vi, segundo ele, a Marvel sabia...

Eu não vi isso da Marvel saber não. Acho muito difícil um editor liberar esse tipo de protesto que vai de encontro com a própria natureza da série.

A declaração oficial é q ninguém sabia, além do cara. Acho difícil um editor liberar uma referência tão incisiva em relação à algum grupo religioso.

Se sabia, a Marvel nunca iria admitir. Ia pegar muito mal com ela engajada na promoção de diversidade, tolerância, etc.
Mas eu acho que não sabia não. O editor deve ter olhado e achou que era qualquer coisa. Eu particularmente nem prestei atenção nas camisas.
E isso meio que gerou uma sinuca de bico. Se a editora não despedir o cara, pode ser acusada de promover intolerância religiosa. Se manter o cara, pode ser acusada da mesma coisa. E aí? Lá veio a tal medida disciplinar. Deve colocar o cara na geladeira por um tempo até o contrato dele acabar, enquanto alguém checa todos os desenhos dele já prontos para futuras edições pra não acontecer de novo.

Merda, to tentando encontrar a declaração dele, mas não acho mais.
Em todo caso, vale a palavra oficial da empresa, né.

Sabia que ia dar merda, né.
Trouxa. O cara é chamado pra desenhar os X-Men e caga no pau desse jeito ridículo.
Merece ser esquecido e nunca mais conseguir um trampo na indústria.

Não gostei dos desenhos dele. Não fará falta.

Já teve gente tentando defender dizendo que não era bem assim, que o trecho do alcorão foi mal traduzido e a mensagem que ele quis passar foi mal interpretada...

A G. Willow Wilson explicou no site dela que o texto foi mal interpretado, mas certamente o sentido que ele colocou na imagem foi o que causou os protestos, até pela própria resposta dele.

Será que a editora mandou passar um pente fino na arte de pessoas que agora estariam numa lista suspeita?
Dificilmente esse cara vai conseguir trabalho na indústria de novo.

Acho justo.

Tanta gnt talentosa e profissional não tem chance de entrar pra indústria, pro cara dar dessas.

Pelo que vi algumas pessoas comentando, o cara era tipo artista tapa buraco. Com essa nova fase dos mutantes, era a chance dele de subir mais um degrau.
Mas decidiu que religião/política é mais importante do que o profissionalismo. Tomou na raba e foi pouco. Não sei como ainda não apareceu nenhum grupo judeu ou cristão pra tentar processar o cara.

A Marvel Comics começa a publicar nesta semana a volta da série Generation X. Desta vez, Jubileu é a mentora de uma nova geração de X-Men, na escola de Xavier sob o comando da nova diretora Kitty Pryde.

Christina Strain escreve a série, que tem desenhos de Amilcar Pinna. A primeira vez que a Marvel publicou uma HQ com esse nome foi em 1994, com mutantes adolescentes que traduziam o estilo de vida cínico e desesperançado da conhecida Geração X, dos anos 1990. A primeira versão de Generation X durou de 1994 a 2001.
